Veronica Mendez, LCSW
Veronica Mendez (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of New York and California. She has spent the past eight years in service of children, young adults, and their parents across school settings and intensive outpatient programs.
Veronica specializes in working with children, adolescents and young adults in areas of life transitions, anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, self-esteem challenges, and ADHD. Veronica has extensive experience working with parents to address and strengthen the parent-child relationship.
Her modalities focus on building and expanding reflective capacity, the ability to slow down, observe, and reflect on our mental states, emotions, and behaviors. Her certifications include: Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and Reflective Parenting. Veronica is also a trained mindfulness facilitator.
For three years, Veronica was a trauma-informed trainer for Family Service of Santa Monica, where she led social-emotional and trauma-informed workshops and consultations across Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District.
Veronica graduated from Northwestern University and holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. Veronica is a bilingual (Spanish & English) therapist with a multicultural background.
